I also beg to differ, especially as an ex-battered woman, when it comes to seeing your KIDS being hurt and abused, that is the point where no matter what, you need to get out, and desperately. She even has a family she could have gone back to, who are in touch with her. Some of us had NOTHING, and I mean nothing at all.
HOW could she be in the same household where Mene was with that stuff going on? HOW could she have her own kids sexually abused by the man she was with? HOW could she be convinced this was God's will? HOW could she promote that crap?
Sorry, but many abused, disempowered women have a lot more (and less means) to deal with than Zerby EVER had, and they had to fight a lot harder than her having people be slaves for her -- don't you remember all the Letters about her cooks, her maids, etc etc.
She reminded me more of Marie Antoinette in France ("let them eat cake") than anybody else. I had to even read stuff like she calling the cook in the kitchen and ordering what she wanted (a pizza with all kinds of toppings) and then eating all the toppings and leaving the crust for the 'boys' who are 'happy to oblige' (??)
Does anybody have that long report about a day in the life of the Queen that chronicles one of her days? Sickening to say the least.
Have you forgotten all the QUEEN bullshit we had to swallow for years? That is NOT the status of many abused and powerless women.
Berg had very little control when he got old and she could have made a difference. She could have done it all along, and even after his death and now, (just like MOther Eve could have denounced his abuse of her own kids.)
Maybe there are others who personally live with them like Ricky that perhaps can talk about this too.
