The letter really freaked me out! Even worse right after getting the Irfer letter, our 1 1/2 year old had a serious accident to her eyelid, and she needed micro surgery. There were some big shot leaders with a FFing home in the major international city not so far away from where we lived, and they wrote in a area letter to the homes about how we'd gotten out from under the umbrella of God's protection, hence our daughter suffered.
All I remember is being so much under condemnation we immediately started tithing again so that something even worse wouldn't happen to us. Looking back it just seems so unreal that that was the way I reasoned.
Anyway, I want to commend you for coming here to post. I've posted how I read so many things on the boards like exFamily.org that have been helping me get a perspective on my life. I left the F only about a year ago--after spending 30 yrs in the F, so I've been a little lost sometimes. Reading what you've written has been a help, and then others have responded to it writing more that provides even more help-support-therapy-perspective etc.
