I'm glad you asked that. That passage of scripture was indeed directed at the seed of Abraham, but do you remember the covenant that God made with Abraham? God told him that through his seed, all nations of the world would be blessed. Now if we follow the geneology of Abraham's seed, we see that Jesus Christ is the result. God's covenant with Abraham is fullfilled by Christ.
You might also want to review the writings of apostle Paul in regards to the covenant. Paul wrote that the gentiles who accepted Christ were grafted into the root of the covenant. Furthermore, there is a scripture in the epistles which says that all scripture is given by divine inspiration, and can be used and applied by all believers, so when the verse says, If my people, which are called by my name..." it applies to Jew and Gentile alike.
