Miguel,

Well, if 50% of the eligible voters in the U.S. would get off their duffs, become knowledgeable about political and social issues, and bother to vote, we could replace the bad leaders of this nation with good ones.

In spite of the efforts of some activist judges, who think they are kings, this is still a democracy, and the voters can vote the bad politicians out of office. But when voter turn-out is so low, the outcome of elections is determined by a minority of the citizenry. Perhaps this is one of the signs that we have reached the apathy stage of the life-cycle of democracy.

We probably do need a divine miracle to turn things around, but God wants us all to do our part. If you're not registered to vote, you should consider doing so. I don't care iff you're liberal or conservative, if you want to see change, it ain't gonna happen without effort. If you haven't prayed for the leadership of our nation, it's time to start. Like Christ said, "It is better to light one candle than to curse the darkness." So light your candle by becoming an informed citizen, and vote for the candidates that best reflect your beliefs and ethics.
