That's an interesting question. As a student of escatology (the study of end-time phrophesy), I believe the next world empire will be a fusion of all nations, and that it will be lead by by someone who is identified as the Anti-Christ. His rule will end when Christ returns and the 1000 year millennium begins. Things will get worse before they get better, but in the end, God and his people will prevail.
