Which reminds me of when I was little and there was a "new disciple" who joined with her daughter who was a bit older than me. They had come from the Hare Krishnas, and the daughter would "witness" Krishna to me. I learned a chant of which I still remember a version to this day (I can't vouch for how well, and I haven't a clue what it means).
I thought then that the orange robes were pretty, more fun than drab forsake-all clothes. not to mention the exotic-looking gods surrounded by pretty flowers! So they had a few too many arms & hands? How was that stranger than the dude with a lion's head in the Mo Liond readers? And the Mo Lion readers were only in black & white. I just guessed that important people must tend to be deformed. In short, at 5 I thought it would be more fun to be a Hare Krishna. LHM!
