The words of Enrique Iglesias' recent hit come to mind! Yes, it is sort of scary. Sometimes I feel like it is the Adams Family, or a Jerry Springer guest reunion.
However, to keep it in context, my natural family is also somewhat disfunctional. And they don't have the excuse of having been in a cult, or of being alcoholics. I've come to the conclusion that, on a continuum of 'normalicy' [:)], I am, astonishingly, somehwat normal. However, my 90-year-old dad maintains that no one is normal. The wisdom of years.
Oh well. I hope you don't leave us. Your contributions to both this board and movingon are valuable.
As for me, I can't promise to behave, nor can I promise to try to behave, but like Bart Simpson, I will 'promise to try to try to behave.'
I'd actually like to try out all the roles you mentioned . I think I've worked the 'hero' one sufficiently, now maybe the 'lost child' (i.e. butt out for a while!)
Is that cheering I hear? The voices of angels?
