I remember you Malichi. My name is Doug. I was not a part of the COG but just a friend. I was AWOL from the Navy when I first met Ruben and Naomi down on the Strip. I drove a red Chevy Pick up truck and a red Triumph TR4 sports car. One day Ruben and I were going up Neyland Drive and a cop stopped me. Ruben was scared to death because he knew I was going to jail because I was Awol. When the cop walked up to the car, he said If you ever want to turn myself in for being AWOL to let him know, he could use the $25 reward. It was a close friend Jimmy Brackett a the County deputy. I lived on the corner of Henley Street and Hill Avenue next to the Henley St. Bridge. It is hard for me to remember the names of the people that lived there. I had a crush on Lasha. I was going to join to be with her but the enforcers in black suits came one day and threatened me and a colored guy that had a ex and a child living there. They told me to stay away so I did after that. They looked and sounded like mafia people. I was afraid of them. I assume that you are not still with The Family? It is great to hear from you and I do hope you will keep in touch, Malichi. I have always loved my friends and you were a friend. My email is so feel free to contact me anytime, it would be good to find out what has happened to each other over the years.
