A check in the spirit is supposed to mean that the Holy Spirit spoke to you about something. Of course TF was in touch with the unholy spirit so who knows what they listen to.
Tithe is a Biblical term and not a Family term it has to do with giving 10% of your first fruits to the Lord. In TF I never heard the term Children's Church or the other mentioned terms given to church. In my church we have Children's Church which is a far cry from indoctrination and control. It is a way to have church on a child's level instead of an adult level and a way to better minister to the younger members of the body. A TSer is not a prominant member but someone who remains a member by giving 10% It means TRF Supporter. I was one for years until I received my lobotomy reversal.
