Can't give your too much personal or it would identify me and I still am afraid after all the years. There are many excuses for doing things, such as "children obey your parents", or "spare the rod, spoil the child". Mostly tho I think the biggest thing is that all of us kids were so overly indoctrinated that it wouldn't have mattered what excuse was used. I mean, basically you're given the idea from early on that the adults are next to god and that what they say is pretty much representative of god. So how do you fight the ultimate god of the universe when you are petrafied of hell and fire for eternity? I guess at least for me, and I can't say for anybody else but fear is the great teacher and any excuse will do really because as a kid you don't have rights and whatever your parents teach is what you have to do, kids don't get choices in this kind of stuff. You just zone cos you can't get away and even if you do and grow up it haunts you till yu feel like dying sometimes. You just gotta know that any excuse will do and kids are indoctrinated so much that after a time there are no excuses it just happens over and over and you accept it like the dog you are in that group, especially if you are a girl cos everyone knows that in The Family, every girl is the low one on the food chain and women are supposed to be subserviant, not learn to be leaders, not have ideas, not make decisions, not speak up, not make a peep without consulting her male authority figure be it dad or husband or brother. Girls are the servants or so they say that women are put on earth by god to serve men. Gotta go i said too much now.
