Emily, could you please clarify how you intend to interview people. Will it be only in person or by phone? If so, it seems that would greatly reduce the number of potential interviewees to only those who are in your local area or who are willing to pay long distance charges. It's understandable if you need to limit your interviews in that way. If however your research methodology allows you to gather written responses to your questions you might get a wider response. Either way, good luck with your thesis.
Btw, readers here might be interested in knowing how your research topic came about. Were you once in TF or maybe you know someone who was/is? If you're a complete "outsider" with no previous experience with or knowledge of TF, then I think it's quite fascinating that you would choose that particular cult to do a study on. I am always interested in knowing how outsiders view the strange world of TF in general, and former members in particular. Anyway, I'm sincere in hoping you do well. We need more academic research in this area.
