I've been following a bit the discussions you've had on this board and it seems to me that there is a lot of misunderstanding from both part. I am not an ex-member but have come to know people you were and I also kind of had the same "naive" questions in the begining (actually I still have).
I think that your questions suprise people on this board since they are quite "school-oriented". The fact that you have a clear pre-defined objective and maybe also already-made conclusions is probably not what one would expect from a researcher. And I guess also that those who replied some of your questions didn't understand that you have gone through all the existing material but, as part of your research method, you also have to confirm the answers through interviews.
Participants on this site are very much used to debating, arguing with each other, questioning others' sayings all the time and that's maybe also why you don't seem to get straight answers.
There I find myself posting a message for the first time on this site and I understand you when you said it is not an easy way of communication when you don't know the person you are writing to...
Wish you good luck with your thesis and hope you'll get all the help you need with it.
