Right now the U.S Senate Committee on Finance (http://finance.senate.gov/index.html) is looking into new legislation to curb abuses in the charitable sector and holding hearings on Charity oversight and reform.
For anybody interested in letting them know about the Family Care Foundation/Aurora/Activated money laundering scheme for the unregistered organization "The Family," which has criminal elements in its past, you can contact the Senate Finance Committee and ask them to look into this abuse. You can even submit a statement so that your views can be included on the Hearing Record. The information is:
Committee On Finance
219 Dirksen Senate Office Building
Washington, DC 20510-6200
Majority Phone: (202) 224-4515
Minority Phone: (202) 224-5315
Statements for the Record: Any individual or organization wanting to present their views for inclusion in the hearing record should submit a typewritten, single-spaced statement, not exceeding 10 pages in length. Title and date of the hearing, and the full name and address of the individual or organization must appear on the first page of the statement. Statements must be received no later than two weeks following the conclusion of the hearing.
