I'm posting this here because it's an academic board and some sites I've seen such as Wikipedia on COG/TFI just as some reporters seem to be describing a balanced view is to write articles with minor admissions, gross minimization in the name of balanced "academic" view. A doctorate in theology certainly wouldn't make someone necessarily capable of writing a "neutral" view based on education,research of studied subject etc, but they can certainly be hired to write favorable articles on the HDO or give paid "professional" opinions in courts of law.
